Actress Busisiwe Mothudi (Palesa) returns to ‘Generations: The Legacy

The SABC 1 soapie Busisiwe Mothudi, who previously played Palesa in Generations: The Legacy, has returned to the role.
Mothudi first appeared on the show on Thursday, March 21, and met Lucy Diale in prison.

On the show, Palesa is Lerato’s older sister who was sentenced for insurance fraud.

She did this out of desperation to provide food for herself and her sister after their mother passed away.

On the show, Palesa was involved with Kumkani Phakade, Minister Nkaba, and married Detective Malinga.

She became a gangster in prison and reunited with Mrekza’s wife, Lucy.

In 2019, Sowetan reported that Busisiwe Mothudi, an actress from Generations: The Legacy, is also a youth pastor.
Mothudi revealed at the time that being a pastor helped her prepare for her soap opera role.

Mothudi added that the key was to believe in yourself and recognize your worth, even if others couldn’t see it right away.

She also revealed that she was paid R150 for her first job on set a few years ago and cautioned young stars against being exploited in the industry.

“I was going to be paid nothing, so I fought for myself. Being in a desperate situation is not new to me. People take advantage of young talent, who are severely underpaid.
