Following Zahara’s death, fans have shared videos and photographs of the award-winning singer and guitarist. Some fans have discovered footage of the diva singing for the late former President Nelson Mandela, as well as one in which she discusses how she wishes to be remembered.

Afiba, a media celebrity, took to his X page to share a moving video of one of the Loliwe singer’s final concerts. The video captures the brilliant vocalist pouring her heart out on stage. The caption for the post read:

“I got the pleasure to see your previous performance, and it was so unusual, emotional, and intense. I cried my heart out after you informed me you weren’t feeling well, and we rushed to the hotel.

“We canceled our plans for the remainder of the evening since you wanted to nap. I will always love you, @ZaharaSA.

Speaking exclusively with Briefly News, Asandiswa Mhlauli, alias Afiba, who posted the video and was there at the event, described the performance as emotional. He added that the performance was held in Cape Town’s Langa neighborhood, where people of all ages and races came to see the singer perform her best.

“The video I shared was a Langa Township Celebration, which was organised by the City of Cape Town to commemorate its 100th anniversary. The Langa township closed Washington thoroughfare, Langa’s longest and largest thoroughfare, and it was packed with people who had come to see Zahara.

“It was so emotional and overwhelming for us to witness this kind of love in real life; it was so pure and genuine, and it was a reassurance to us that no matter how much people try to discredit or take away from you, they will never take your God-given talent and the gift of healing that comes with it, so we cried tears of joy. Myself and Aviwe Mdani were chanting “I love you” and “Uxolo” which meant “don’t cry, it’s okay, take and receive the love.”

Many social media users became emotional after seeing the video. Fans described the performance as out of this world.
